How To Create An Email Welcome Sequence Guide
The First Email In Your Email Welcome Sequence
This is a tricky email to create because there’s a lot you want to put into it, but you don’t want to overwhelm your new subscriber or take up too much of their time. People have the attention span of gnats, so you have to be very strategic here. I recommend in this email you…
1. Greet your subscriber by name. A lot of people just ask for people’s email addresses on their squeeze pages because they’ve been told by the “experts” that you get more people to opt-in by asking for the least amount of information. In my experience being able to use personalization in my subject lines and emails I get better open rates and clickthrough rates. So, I do recommend asking for their name AND email address on your squeeze page so you can use personalization in your emails.
2. Quickly introduce yourself. There’s no need to tell your life story here. All your subscriber cares about is what you can do for THEM! Keep your introduction short and word it so that it shows them the benefits of paying attention to YOU!
3. What they can expect moving forward with you. Tell them how you’re going to help them when they open and read your emails.
Ok, there are 4 more tips for your first email… then we talk about the 2nd, 3rd, etc emails in the sequence.
