Day 21 – Go Bigger—Turn Your Magnet into a Resource Library

Day 21! Great progress so far!

If you have multiple freebies or pieces of content, bundle them into a resource library or vault.

You can do this on your blog (like where I'm writing the articles for you) or use a Google Doc.

Also, when using G-Docs, think about the security there after you finish it and how you will distribute it and who you might or might not want to see it.

For instance, I sometimes put my “Thank You” page on G-Docs and before I knew how to use these restrictions, I would get emails from my buyers saying “I can't get into … Thank You page.” or words not quite that friendly. After that, I watched for buyers and quickly brought up the Thank You G-Doc and put their email address in as one who can access it.

Not hard to do, just something to keep track of.

The reason I say that, is folks can easily “steal” your doc by using the “File – Make a Copy” command and you'll never know about it. There are other security controls to prevent that in the upper right corner of a G-Doc labeled “Share” where you can share it or restrict it a couple different ways.

Similarly, if you use a WordPress blog for “Thank You” aka delivery pages, you can put a password on the page and when you make your payment page, send it to a user along WITH the password so he can get in after the payment clears.

This raises perceived value and sets you apart from the single-PDF crowd.

Focus on tightly related tools that solve connected problems.

Keep it simple: a hidden page or branded folder with your magnet, checklists, templates, and videos.

One of the people I follow, advertises his “Resource” page in EVERY email. It includes his email program (Aweber/Get Response/Etc), lead sources, main business, etc. which are ALL with his affiliate links. He builds his business daily and LOTS of folks see his “Resource” page every day. He makes thousands from it every month.

You won' t make much initially but as your email list grows, so will your income from your “Resource” page!
