Let’s get personal.
Segmenting your list means sending the right message to the right people.
You can segment your list by behavior, interests, or engagement level.
Segmentation can also be the business that your opt-in might be in.
In that case, you can leave out promoting your own business but if you have affiliate links from Traffic, Leads or Sales info, those would be good to send since your opt-in would likely need those and is a potential buyer for you.
So keep that idea in mind.
Unfortunately, most new marketers don't know about that simple fact. They just try to get folks to join their business or buy their products. So teaching about Traffic, Leads &/or Sales is always a good idea.

This boosts opens, clicks, and sales because your emails feel relevant and timely.
